An extremely rare piece of gold from the Bullfrog Mountains in Death Valley. A very dense and heavy gold specimen at just under 5 troy ounces and impressive to hold in the hand. The surface is magnificent with sturdy leaf gold layers that have defined trigon crystals on the surface. Take a look at the photos and I think you'll agree, this is a remarkable piece of gold. I don't see gold specimens like this very often and it is certainly a piece that could be in a museum or in a prestigious collection considering the size, rare provenance, and beautiful formation.
