This is a huge natural crystalline gold nugget from Australia. The color is gorgeous and the shape is stunning. It is definitely an investment/jewelry grade (the highest grade there is) natural gold nugget, because it is completely clean of any mineral staining or host rock. It was found by a prospector about 15 years ago at Clunes in the Golden Triangle in Australia. Clunes was home to Victoria's first registered gold discovery made by James Esmond in 1851. His discovery triggered the gold rush in Victoria.
This crystalline gold nugget weighs a hefty 233.9 Grams (7.52 Troy Ounces), which is huge for a natural crystalline gold nugget. This is one of the larger crystalline gold nuggets that we have offered for sale. It is priced extremely well for such a rare gold specimen. You would expect to pay a lot more for such a rare and large crystalline gold specimen, but I am selling it for a collector who wants to raise some cash and he says "Sell it". As you can see in the photos, it is a substantial handful of beautiful solid 22KT to 23KT natural gold (92% to 98% pure). It measures 2.5" (6.5 cm) long x 1.75" (4.5 cm) wide x 1.5" (3.5 cm) thick.
This gorgeous crystalline gold specimen fits the category "Museum Grade" since a crystalline gold nugget from Australia of this size is quite rare to find and this spectacular gold specimen would be welcome in any museums gold exhibit. Here is a chance to own it for your private collection.
