Flat Pocketed California Natural Gold Nugget - 3.21 grams

I work with two very interesting prospectors who have several claims in and around the Quincy, California area. The gold from this area, high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, is brilliant and most of it still has small inclusions of quartz and the gold was found very close to it's original source. California gold nuggets are extremely hard to source now that regulations have halted all river dredging to protect the salmon runs. I always feel fortunate when I find good sources of gold from California.
