This is a very unique gold specimen from the Harvard Mine in Jamestown, California and it is on consignment from a prospector in California. The quartz is white and it has some black magnesium oxide in the quartz, which is very unique and rare. It has a nice vein of gorgeous crystalline gold running through it, which is a beautiful contrast to the white quartz and the black mineralization. The size of this unique gold specimen is 1.25" long x 7/8" wide x 7/8" thick. The weight is 18.1 Grams. A real beautiful gold specimen that would make a great gift or addition to your collection. The Harvard Mine has been closed since 1994 so gold specimens like this one are rare to see for sale.
