This Crystallized Plate Gold Nugget is huge for the price at just under 5/8" long, weighs 3.9 Grains (0.25 Gram) and it has a very large surface area for the weight. From the Round Mountain Mine in Nevada, it is called plate gold because the gold forms in thin "plates". Plate gold nuggets are very rare and hard to find for sale. I have several of them in my collection listed on this site. These represent many years of collecting rare gold nuggets.
