Crystalline Gold Nuggets from Mt. Kare are extremely rare. You almost never see any gold specimens from this location for sale. The mine is situated in an area of continual violence in Enga Province in Papau New Guinea. I have one of the largest collections of crystallized gold nuggets from Mt. Kare that I know of, which I bought many years ago and kept in my collection.
When you look at the Mt. Kare gold nugget specimens below, you will see gold crystals, wire gold, octahedrons, trigons, ribbon gold, hoppered gold, etc... The variety and geological rarity of the crystalline formation of Mt. Kare gold nuggets is what makes them so highly prized by investors and collectors.
