There are many type of gold nuggets, as you will see as you check out my website. The gold nuggets in this category are smaller nuggets that sell for under $100.
Of the many gold nuggets that are found by prospectors, very few of them qualify as jewelry grade nuggets. For a gold nugget to be classed as jewelry grade it must be clean and free from any stains and mineralization or any significant deposits of quartz or other host rock. As you will see, all of my gold nuggets in this category have been hand selected, and they all qualify as jewelry grade. I have picked through many prospectors collections over the years to find the largest selection of premium quality gold nuggets that you will find anywhere.
As you may have guessed, jewelry grade gold nuggets sell for a higher premium over spot gold prices than non-jewelry grade nuggets. Jewelers will pay $100 to $200 per gram for hand selected gold nuggets that are suitable for inlaying into jewelry. I have priced my hand selected jewelry grade gold nuggets below those prices in order to be very competitive.
